Recently,the WHR power generation project undertaken by Sinoma EC for YCC has been successfully handed over and obtained the PAC issued by the Client. It is not only the largest scale of individual installed capacity of WHR power plant project all over the world so far, but also it was selected as the representative overseas project exhibited on the large scale achievement exhibition. Mr. Hu Yeming, President of Sinoma EC, Mr. Wei Wenhua, Vice President of Sinoma EC and Mr. Dr. Zugail, President of YCC attended the project hand-over ceremony.

The WHR power generation project of YCC, K.S.A was designed for the two cement production lines of 8500tpd and 11000tpd as well as 15 sets of diesel generators, with the total installed capacity up to 37MW (15MW+22MW). Till now, Sinoma EC has built and operated two sets of WHR power plants under EPC mode for Najran Cement Company and Yanbu Cement Company respectively in the market of K.S.A.

The WHR boilers for diesel generator and the bypass were designed and developed jointly by the R&D Center, Design Department, YCC Project Department of Sinoma EC and its subsidiary, Nantong Wanda Boiler Co., Ltd., and then manufactured by Nantong Wanda Boiler. The WHR boilers utilized the waste heat of the 15 sets of diesel generators of the captive power station of the cement production lines to produce hot steam for power generation, and are the core equipment. Subject to the characteristics of the WHR boiler for diesel generator, Sinoma EC had overcome multiple technical difficulties, and had strove to make many technological breakthrough in terms of boiler dust removal system, sealing system, preventing acid corrosion in the heating surface to ensure the safe operation of diesel generator and the gas system of the WHR boiler. The bypass WHR boiler utilized the waste heat from the bypass gas duct chamber of preheater side of the cement production line for producing hot steam to generate power. Sinoma EC studied the characteristics of the ash in the bypass gas by means of experiment, to determine the temperature control range for the boiler inlet gas and the outlet gas, and then optimized the boiler design and selected the proper heating surface dust removal system and hopper blocking prevention measures. After put into operation, each power generation index of the WHR boilers for diesel generator and the bypass have met the design requirements, with stable and reliable operation. The project team had overcome various actual difficulties such as hard to obtain the visa, tight project schedule, complex system and great difficulty in construction etc., and worked hand in hand to accomplished every milestone from design to equipment manufacture, from loading to the ship to site installation, from construction management to commissioning. Especially the 22MW unit for #4 line and 15MW unit for #5 line both generated power ahead of the contractual schedule. The operation and handover of this project, has further paved the way for Sinoma EC to lead the market in the Middle East.

President Hu Yeming, for and on behalf of Sinoma EC, extended warm congratulations to the operation and handover of the project, and expressed thanks to assistance and support by the Client. He said that YCC WHR project had once again proofed Sinoma EC is a team good at tough fight and dare to drawing the sword, and the efforts made, the achievements obtained, and the contribution made were all admirable. He hoped that Sinoma EC could further cooperate with YCC to achieve mutual benefit and win-win result, and to make joint efforts for the cause of energy saving and emission reduction. Dr. Zugail, President of YCC, had expressed his admiration to the professional capability and technological strength of Sinoma EC as shown in the project execution process, and appreciated the pleasant cooperation between the parties, and hoped in the future, the two parties will have further cooperation in the more extensive fields.
